I have started my new job here in London. Well, just outside London actually. I am wokring in a place called Dartford. If you ever come to the UK don't forget not to visit! Well, there is a wonderful shopping centre just near here which is worth the drive but not much else. But because work is so far from home I indulged and bought myseld a beee-yooo-tiful silver soft top MR2, with hard top for winter. I am in true love. Red leather seats. Airconditioning for the three hot days in Enlgand's summer, and a CD player. Absolute bliss as my last form of transport had a lawnmower engine and two wheels!

I'm concentrating on the final push to get my kitchen finished - after only four months you might think it would be done by now, but James and I have a torture work ethic - do everything in an enitirely illogical and haphazard order and do everything twice as you mess it up the first time round. So if anyone fancies a bit of interior decorating experience, all opinions gratefully received!

How are you and where are you Miss Jane? I cannot remember. Sydney? Adelaide? Where? And why not London. I'm still waiting for you over here....! And Jacqui, hope the work is calming down a little and the weather warming up. Sorry I've been a slack corrrespondant. Hope the Chapel St lifestyle is still suiting you. Looking forward to your holiday here as well.

Hello. I am receiving! Leah, how are you? I haven't spoken to you in ages. Have been absolutely exhausted with work and when not working burying myself at home to keep warm. What is with the weather? How do you and Mr Frank do it in the UK? In fact how does anyone do it who doesn't live in the tropics????? I have repeatedly scared the pizza guy by opening my door to my apartment with 35 degree heat surging out of it (love central heating!) and me in shorts, singlet and ugg boots. If I can put a pool on my little balcony and border it with palm trees it will be just like living at home. Well, kinda. The trams going past underneath me on Chapel Street may not be quite the same... Life is good - kinda - so much to say and have no idea where to start. How is everyone? Will try and fill in the blanks soon. Love to all. xo

had a lovely birthday week. thank you all!!! topped off by another trip to the hospital but hey, you can't get everything you want. right? spent easter shopping up a storm with debt to my eyeballs and still no warm winter clothing except for newly acquired black, zimmerman trenchcoat. may have to go with simon's theory of just wearing everything i own at the same time! had the lovely sarah stay also and we even managed a trip to byron where we were massaged and laid on the beach. good re-coup for me. hope everyone is well and happy.
